I am a coaching psychologist and supervisor (group and individual), as well as a researcher and writer. I offer supervision on supervision, including for participants on Bath Consultancy Group's training programme for supervisors.
I have particular interests in narrative-based approaches in adult and organisational development, poetry in adult development and the psychology of wisdom, and have completed a year of doctoral research into metacognition and adult learning. My coaching and my supervision are usually with senior practitioners and/or those in leadership positions who want to focus on their own leading edge.
I am author, with Gerard Fairtlough and Barabara Heinzen of The Power of the Tale: Using Narratives for Organisational Success, and have authored/co-authored gestalt and ethics chapters for The Handbook of Coaching Psychology, Supervision in Coaching, The Wiley-Blackwell Handbook of the Psychology of Coaching and Mentoring and Mastery in Coaching. Conference presentations or invitational speaking have addressed topics including story, ethics, wisdom and supervision in coaching psychology.
I have served the profession through roles as ethics and social policy liaison officer for the British Psychological Society's Special Group in Coaching Psychology and as a member of the BPS ethics committee.
I live in Gloucestershire, where I am a parent governor for a village primary school, and enjoy family life, time outdoors and following my curiosity.
