About Me

I started my professional life training as a nurse in the QARNNS (Royal Navy) then after a number of years in nursing took myself back to school and after a first degree majoring in Psychology, I completed an MSc in Occupational Psychology and then worked towards Chartership.  My main interests have tended to lean towards helping  those who have experienced ill health or injury and where their psychological and physical well being has impacted on their ability to perform their pre morbid role either by being totally unable to work again or have needed to rethink their current career status.  As a result of this experience I have developed "Rehabilatation Coaching".  Other interests are working as a Coaching Psychologist within the commercial world helping others become aware of ways to both improve their working life and personal life too.  On the personal front I am married with one adult son.  I also live in both the desert of Southern Arizona and here in the UK.

About Me

I am a registered psychologist (industrial and organisational) in private practice based in Newlands, Cape Town. As a coach I help to realise the ambitions of aspirant and current leaders and business owners.

My quest is to sustain and enrich people in their careers and work lives and to enable organisations and teams to adapt and thrive.

My coaching methodology addresses the narrative, prefacing the language, stories, values and meaning-making that informs work identity, behaviour and indivdiual and organisational potential.

My clients develop broader and more strategic perspectives and are coached to access their personal creativity and agency to achieve what they strive for and to think past obstacles and inhibitions encountered within themselves and their work and life systems.

Specialist areas of interest and experience include navigating career transitions, coaching for effectiveness, supervising formal mentoring systems and consulting around personal and organisational wellbeing.
